Taken From Chapter One: How Can I Be Sure I'm Going To Heaven?

A lot of preachers say we will have a new, better physical life in heaven, but there is no scriptural evidence to support it. 

It’s just another feel-good soundbite designed to fill the pews and collection plates…and it makes for great movies.

But think about it. 

Will there be golf courses in heaven? Restaurants? Do we eat? Go to the bathroom? Do we have jobs? Will we be forever young? Or old?

I know Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions.” But the word “mansions” in Greek is “mone” from the root “meno,” which means “to stay in a given place, state, relation, or expectancy” …no big estates on streets of gold or running through fields of daisies.

Heaven is simply a place to stay and rest in a given place (mone) until judgment.
